TIAA Lead Engineer - Managed File Transfer in Broomfield, Colorado

Lead Engineer

The Engineering job designs information systems that are appropriate for users' needs and consistent with the overall design of the organization's information systems architecture. Under limited supervision, this job is responsible for the installation, configuration and maintenance of the organization's operating systems.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Drive application to application file transfer platform direction

  • Execute on the platform enhancements and evolutions that are agreed upon

  • Automate tasks that are performed manually today by our delivery and support engineers

  • Design, analyze, and implement file transfer solutions based on project or application requirements

  • Perform full-lifecycle software application development for the infrastructure platforms using infrastructure as code techniques

  • Assist with remediating security vulnerabilities and other risk remediation issues as they are identified

  • Design, code, and debug applications in various software languages

  • Integrate software and existing systems

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex issues, restore services, and perform root cause analyses

  • Documents the design, operation, and troubleshooting of technology platforms and procedures

  • Build, configure, patch, and upgrade core infrastructure platforms

  • Participate in project level architecture governance to include the collaboration on and development of solution architectures and designs

  • Facilitate the review, vetting of these designs with the architecture governance bodies, as required

  • Mentor junior staff on architecture best practices, design patterns, and development

Required Skills:

  • 5 or more years working experience with IBM MQ MFT / IBM MQ FTE

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with developing Java, Ansible, and Ant code

  • Working experience developing complex shell scripts

  • Experience with Enterprise level data movement products

  • Experience with IBM Data Movement products

  • Experience with Enterprise level messaging platforms

  • Experience with Apache Kafka

  • Previous experience working in the financial services industry

  • Experience using Gitlab to manage source code

  • Project management experience

  • Ability to facilitate meetings

  • Strong communications skills, both verbal and written

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

  • Experience working with Linux, AIX, Windows, and Mainframe Operating Systems

Potential Salary: $137,000.00 USD

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).Â
