TIAA DevOps Developer in CHARLOTTE, North Carolina

POSITION SUMMARY:

This role will help implement technical solutions and issue resolution within our DevOpS Support organization. Provide engineering solutions for the end to end design, development and delivery of core technology services as part of DevOpS Support in accordance with the enterprise solution and business architecture standards and requirements. Communicate progress, technical / non-technical issues, and issue resolution. Contribute to the service delivery across multiple project phases of the software development life cycle. The position may contribute to the design and implementation of new software development and enhancement efforts and software testing with other technologists to improve delivery of core services. Work as part of an IT support team within the construct of a 24 x 7 onshore/offshore model. Develop DevOPS Support engineering resources with required business and technical skills.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Resolve andImplement day to day technical / non-technical challenges and communicate anyrisks or issues associated with the activities and mentor staff through thetechnical / non-technical challenges.

  • Supportdevelopment teams in pipeline creation through automation or manual.

  • Automatesolutions to ensure that upgrades and pipeline changes have little impact onclients

  • Exemplify behaviors that support OneIT.

  • Build trusted advisor relationship by partnering withDelivery Unit clients and across IT to best achieve business and IT prioritiesand objectives.

  • Contribute to resources proactively and efficiently.

  • Stay current with relevant emerging technologies, assessapplication to DevOps Support challenges or opportunities determining businessbenefit and impact.

  • Apply strategic thinking against very complex business andtechnical problems directing personnel and consultants on the properrealization of architectures aligned with DevOps Support objectives.

RequiredSkills:

  • Experience workingwith an onshore / offshore team, preferably in a 24 x 7 operation.

  • 2 or more years’experience in source code repository management, CI pipeline configuration,and/or binary repository management.

  • Experience inJava Application development, deployment, configuration, UNIX and integration aplus.

  • Experience withat least three of the following:

  • Code repository tools

  • Buildorchestration tools

  • Artifact/Binaryrepository management tools

  • SPLUNK

  • Docker

  • OpenShift/EKS

  • ContinuousIntegration Pipeline creation and automation experience

Desired Skills:

  • Bachelor's orMaster's degree from an accredited school in related areas

  • Ability to leadmulti-deliverable technical efforts

  • Broad experienceand knowledge of technologies, tools, frameworks, patterns, vendor packages andplatforms

  • Experienceworking in a DevOPS environment.

  • Experience withprocess improvement / continuous improvement

  • Experience withProject Management Principles and methodologies is desirable

  • Experienceworking in financial services
