Rept & Inv Accounting
Manages the financial record keeping, reporting, tax filing and other accounting functions for the organization.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Ensuring the accounting policies and practices of the organization are followed; working closely with internal auditors, public accountants, federal tax examiners, and other financial professionals ensuring that practices are in line with the overall goals of the organization.
Overseeing and evaluating the activities of the accounting staff, and providing for their professional development; analyzing and solving accounting problems.
Preparing or leading preparation of reports which summarize and forecast business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings, based on past, present and expected operations.
Producing accurate and timely financial reports, for internal and external use, in accordance with GAAP and in compliance with section 404 of Sarbanes-Oxley Act.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
Certified Public Accountant
5+ years in the asset management industry, including deep knowledge of complex international structures, open and closed-end vehicles, distribution waterfalls, partner allocations, and performance returns measurement
Experience with alternative investments as well as corporate and convertible bonds, senior loans, collateralized loan obligations, equity securities, and derivatives.
Experience leading teams and developing personnel
Proven track record for driving change and managing complex projects and transactions.
Exceptional leadership, communication and writing skills.
ADDITIONAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Directing the accounting and reporting activities for unregistered private funds, including collaboration with global accounting, tax, and legal providers.
Reviewing financial statements, investor reports, performance returns, and ad hoc analyses to ensure the quality and completeness of deliverables provided to investors, management, and regulatory and taxing authorities.
Interacting with global audit engagement teams.
Maintaining business relationships, gaining insights, and influencing outcomes with leaders in a highly cross-functional environment, including Asset Management, Product, Client Services, Operations, Legal, Tax, Compliance, Valuations, and Risk.
Monitoring operational performance, including the use of metrics, and driving change management to improve processes and quality.
Supporting the launch of global funds with complex structures. Providing leaders with insights, requirements, processes, risks, and costs from a Finance perspective.
Researching, analyzing, and documenting transactions for appropriate accounting treatment and presentation. Responding to audit inquiries presented by internal/external auditors or examiners.
Managing global teams of accounting professionals; providing direction for related operating activities.
Potential Salary: $150,000.00 USD
Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
