Info Sec Incident Response Spec

Responsible for triaging and validating security events, as well as operational oversight for other Detection Analysts. Act as a point of escalation or verification for detection activities.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Perform deep-dive incident analysis by correlating data from various sources and determine if a critical system or dataset is affected.

  • Handle incidents as defined in Playbooks and SOPs, and advise on remediation actions.

  • Respond to Cyber Security Incidents; provide cyber threat analysis and reporting to support SOC and Program's situational awareness.

  • Support the Security Operations Center and monitor security tools and provide tier II response to security incidents.

Required Qualifications

  • 2 or more years information security experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of common operating systems, with experience performing endpoint investigations and forensic examinations.

  • Technical knowledge and some experience in handling/investigating security incidents.

  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills, with equally strong multi-tasking and documentation skills.

  • Experience with enterprise information security data management and log aggregation tools.

  • Industry-recognized information security certifications are preferred, but not required.

  • Experience creating new security alerts, reports, or other monitoring capabilities.

  • Experience in scripting languages such as (or similar to) Python, PERL, and Ruby.

  • Provide 24/7 emergency response support in the event of security related incidents.

Minimum Pay: $65,970.00
