Nuveen Investments Internal Sales Specialist in Charlotte, North Carolina
The Defined Contribution Investment Only (DCIO) Sales job sells Nuveen and TIAA mutual funds, CITâs, sub-advised management, and annuity products to retirement plan intermediaries including, but not limited to: broker-dealers, RIA aggregators, consultants, recordkeepers, and managed account providers. Under limited supervision, this job maintains up-to-date DCIO industry knowledge and leverages experience and key decision-maker relationships in the retirement plan investment business, along with best practices and established sales tools, to meet DCIO sales goals.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Identifies new DCIO sales prospects and builds and deepens relationships with key prospects, including advisers, consultants and 401k wholesalers
Works closely with clients and their advisers/wholesalers to define client goals, address concerns and plan a coordinated DCIO sales approach.
Assigned a geographical territory and partners and supports the DCIO Field Wholesaler based in that region.
Tracks prospects and key activities through a sales process using the organization's internal Customer Relationship Management platform.
Delivers on DCIO annual sales targets and works towards achieving year-over-year growth targets in DCIO sales.
Provides regular DCIO Sales pipeline updates capturing prospecting and sales activity to management team.
Maintains updated DCIO knowledge and provides experience in the retirement plan investment business to help clients realize investment goals.
- University (Degree) Preferred
- 2+ Years Required; 3+ Years Preferred
- SRC Indicator: Series 7; Series 63
- Physical Requirements: Sedentary Work
2 yearsâ experience in Investment Management; specifically with DCIO (Defined Contribution Investment Only) Sales
FINRA Series 7 and 63
3+ yearsâ experience in Investment Management; specifically with DCIO (Defined Contribution Investment Only) Sales
State & non-resident Life & Health insurance (can be obtained within 90 days of hire)
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Flexible and highly adaptable.
Able to work multiple projects simultaneously.
Technologically proficient and knowledgeable
A strong combination of sales and analytical skills
Ability to profile clients.
Excellent planning, organization and time management skills; ability to analyze and prioritize large amounts of information
Potential Salary: $75,000.00 USD
Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.Â In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).Â
