Key Responsibilities and Duties
Knowledge of order management systems and/or electronic trading systems to support derivatives and FX trading. Experience with Bloomberg AIM, Charles River, Murex and Global Trading Support Services (GTSS)
Ensure trade activity is booked and represented correctly in internal systems and confirmation derivatives settlements with counterparties.
Ensure standard settlement instructions are set up and understanding their applications for settlement across various currencies and markets.
Attention to detail to ensure trades are settled in a timely manner to avoid market trading disruptions and staying within the guidelines mandated by the funds.
Develop escalation procedures and remediation plan for issues
Support derivatives work stream lead on projects and new fund launches
Partner with Legal to ensure that proper legal agreements are in place to support derivative trading: oversee derivative client and product onboarding.
Partner with Compliance on regulatory reporting.
Capture information from derivatives trading agreements and maintain
Coordinate derivatives trading related onboarding functions for new accounts and new brokers
Manage derivatives trading operational readiness process within the Global Derivatives Services
Maintain agreements data -
Update the database when accounts are added/removed to agreements
Update the database for account or counterparty name changes
Sen Updated AUM/NAV to derivative counterparties

Nuveen is seeking a Lead Analyst, Derivatives Services and Onboarding who will be a member of the Trading Operation’s team within Nuveen Global Investment Operation. The candidate will be a member of a small team of six responsible for supporting our investment area by ensuring accurate and timely entry of Foreign Exchange (FX) and derivatives trades in the various order management systems. Ensuring timely and accurate communication of trade activity to necessary downstream stakeholders and managing ISDA and CSA documentation.
Required Skills:
Solid understanding of the lifecycle of a trade from execution to settlement.
Solid understanding of various Investment Management products (Pension funds, Mutual funds, Separate accts).
Ability to address difficult issues and work under pressure in high stress environments.
Experience working in asset management specifically with Derivatives/FX.
Experience or understanding of Derivative types, how they trade, how cash flows work and settlement conventions.
Experience with ISDA and clearing agreements.
Preferred Skills:
Advanced Excel including macros, lookups, pivot tables and other advanced skills.
Prior use of SWIFT messaging and format.
Experience Portfolio Accounting System – Eagle Star.
OMS Experience - Bloomberg AIM, and Charles River Investment Management Solution (CRD) (CRIMS),Murex ( derivatives platforms),GTSS.
Effective communication skills to facilitate deadlines.
Controls mindset and partner with Compliance, Risk Management.
Process improvement mindset.
Solid communication skills, written and verbal.

Base Pay Range: $92,600/yr. - $154,400/yr.
Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
