TIAA is actively seeking a Lead Business Analyst within the Global Corporate Solution Technology (GCST) area to provide strategic business analysis services. The focus of this position is to work closely with the business units to gain in-depth understanding of customer’s business strategy, processes, services, and roadmaps in the context of Microsoft based SharePoint Development. This role will be key to understanding the documented capabilities needed to address business challenges and translating those requirements into key deliverables for offshore development and onshore delivery
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
•Serve as a liaison between Operations and IT to assist or gather business requirements needed for system modifications, enhancement and implementations
•Elicit high / epic level and detailed requirements and translate into Jira user stories; methods of collection can include but are not limited to user interviews, surveys, analyzing documentation/ business process workflows and/or existing system documentation
•Collaborate closely with developers to implement requirements
•Drive and challenge business areas on assumptions; question and understand how they will successfully execute their plans related to the functionality requested
•Provide necessary guidance to testers during QA processes
•Demonstrate up-to-date expertise in SharePoint and apply this to the development, execution and improvement of action plans by providing advice and guidance to other in the application of information and best practices
•Serve as a Scrum Master for business and team initiatives coordinating between development team, test teams and product owners, and subsequently proactively managing scope.
•Work with business stakeholders to define, document and prioritize user stories in product backlog.
•Work with senior technical team members to ensure best development principles are applied and focused on future/Cloud development strategies.
•Create and maintain issue logs, meeting minutes, meeting schedules, project summaries and updates
•Develop, automate, and execute test plans
•Lead and support system conversions, upgrades, and enhancements
•Minimum of 5 years of experience working on gathering and documenting requirements and executing projects in accordance to the Software Development Life Cycle.
•Experience working in the role of Scrum Master.
•Background with SharePoint development or similar development environments.
•Agile BA / Scrum Master Certification is strongly preferred
•Experience working in the financial industry
•Experience working on large scale projects as well as handling day-to-day operational requests from the business
•Ability to navigate BA Workflow, Agile Scrum, and Project Management tools (Jira, MS Project, Visio, Word, Excel, SharePoint, and Business Process/Rules repositories)
•Hands on experience developing and executing test plans
•Proficiency with SharePoint, SQL, and Microsoft Suite of development tools
