TIAA has an opportunity for a Lead Release Manager . This position will be located in their Charlotte, NC office. This role will ensure that all release and deployment activities in the Enterprise are well planned and carried out meeting the SDLC requirements, SOX Compliance and Regulatory requirements to protect our IT infrastructure and applications.

We are seeking an individual who has demonstrated experience with Release Management. They possess experience in Planning, Coordinating and Executing large-scale Applications and Infrastructure releases.


  • Plan, Coordinate and Execute enterprisereleases

  • Manage risks and resolves issues that affectthe release scope, schedule and quality

  • Measure and monitor progress to ensureapplication releases are delivered on time and that they meet or exceedexpectations

  • Coordinate release content and effort based onthe deployment plan, approved service requests, third party applications

  • Communicate all deployment activities, checkoutplans, back-out strategy schedule, and scope changes

  • Manage relationships and coordinates workbetween different teams at different locations

  • Conduct Release Readiness reviews, MilestoneReviews, and Business Go/No-Go reviews

  • Produce Deployment Run Books and ImplementationPlans

  • Generate and distribute Weekly ReleaseReporting and Post release summary

  • Communicate release details and schedules to variousbusiness stakeholders

  • Maintains the release schedule for all coreservices and ensures alignment across key partners and vendors

  • Continually work towards making improvements inthe release process

  • Lead and co-ordinate the Go-Live activitiesincluding the execution of the deployment plans and checklists

  • Participate in the Change Ancillary Boardmeetings to discuss release scope and/or roadblocks

  • Maintains a release repository and manages keyinformation such as build and release procedures, dependencies, andnotification lists



  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Minimum of 4 years of previous release and/orproject management experience

  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience working in aninformation systems operations environment using knowledge of softwaredevelopment lifecycle

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience performinganalyses

  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience with MicrosoftOffice Suite


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science orrelated field

  • Project Management Certification

  • ITIL Certification

  • Demonstrated ability to coordinatecross-functional work teams towards task completion

  • Ability to communicate both in writing andverbally
