TIAA Lead UX Designer in Charlotte, North Carolina
The Lead UX Designer leads the process of designing and developing user engagement experiences for a variety of applications. As a master in user experience, this job develops and documents functional requirements and translates into detail design documents. This job develops and implements user experience operational plans and establishes research and develop design parameters, performance characteristics, and technical specifications of all products and components.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Investigates and interprets how users feel about a system, looking at things like ease of use, perception of the value of the system, utility and efficiency in performing tasks.
Designs complex user needs and business requirements into features and functionality for web/mobile experiences.
Translates user needs and business requirements into features and functionality for digital experiences.
Maintains proficiency in design tools and possesses highly specialized knowledge of a specific technology.
Leads complex system scope and project objectives, as well as the role and function of each team member, in order to effectively coordinate the activities of the team.
Develops and implements new products, processes, standards or operational plans that will have impact on the achievement of functional results.
Coaches, reviews and delegates work to lower level professionals.
- University (Degree) Preferred
- 5+ Years Required; 7+ Years Preferred
- Physical Requirements: Sedentary Work
5+ years of experience as a User Experience Designer, Visual Designer, or similar role
Experience with multi-device design and responsive design
Experience with design software Sketch
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, and Invision
Experience with agile methodologies
A passion for being the voice of the user and a proven track-record building user-centric solutions
Experience partnering with Product Managers to develop the strategy and rationale for features.
Ability to communicate the design work with solid rationale by research and data; Strong verbal and visual communication, written communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
Financial services experience preferred
Potential Salary: $127,900.00 USD
Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
