TIAA Program / Project Manager III (Office of the CFO Business Management) in CHARLOTTE, North Carolina

This is a leadership role on a newly formed team to manage the Program Management maturity framework that will drive the alignment with our strategy to transform our Office of the CFO organization with the focus on driving efficiencies and streamlining processes, while delivering on the Enterprises’ expense targets. The role will support the launch of a multi-year set of programs/projects with three main goals:
Enable & manage Workforce Sourcing efforts in an effort to automate, reengineer or outsource procedural efforts.
Program / project manage strategic initiatives in support of the Office of the CFO multi-year simplification strategy
Analyze business processes with a keen eye for enhancement opportunities and execute the delivery of the opportunity recommendation
The role will be responsible for partnering across numerous finance business units and technology teams to ensure the effective and efficient management / execution of transformational projects.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Program Management & Execution:
Manage programs/projects with the intention of improving performance and adoption across our organization as we transform how we operate in the workforce/workplace
Manage cross-workstream dependencies and works with the business unit leads to develop mitigation plans.
Partner with business stakeholders to establish programs and define program scope based on strategic business objectives of the Office of the CFO.
Tracks program/project benefits and realization against the set of strategic objectives.
Partner with the business management offices, business units, HR, Finance, Risk, A&O and the IT organization to construct efficiency and cost opportunity business cases that capture the reasoning for initiating, its cost benefit analysis, and risk assessment and be able to present it in a well-structured written document that can be measured upon adoption.
5+ years of Project or Portfolio Management experience
Experience putting together business cases and/ or business justifications
7-10 years of Project or Portfolio Management experience
Experience working in Financial Services
Top-tier analytic skills and problem solving to quickly assess data and derive management insight and ability to research data trends
Experience in managing programs and/or overseeing portfolios of initiatives, including the development of business cases, assignment and oversight of program resources, and tracking and senior level reporting progress against schedule, scope and budget
Skillset to drive multiple concurrent Software Design Life Cycle (SDLC), Waterfall and/or Agile methodology projects with strict adherence to documentation requirements and understanding of how each sequential deliverable or milestone connects to the target state goal
Ability to work with business units and all corporate services to resolve conflicting priorities, backed up with facts and data as this role will help to influence decision making around ensuring both the healthy operating state (capacity) of the division and its ability to deliver the outcome
