Sr Lead Application Developer

Develops, implements and assesses specific new and emerging technologies, platforms, and services.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Assessing the technical viability of emerging products and technologies.

  • Working with developers and infrastructure specialists to test and evaluate new technologies.

  • Participating in the development of business cases and obtaining approvals for capital expenditures.

  • Monitoring and analyzing new technology product performance and resolving issues regarding potential improvements or modifications to complex situations, as needed.

Required skills:

  • 5 years of experience C# or java programming languages.

  • 5 years of experience with SQL, relational database technologies, optimization and troubleshooting.

  • 2 years of experience in application development leadership role involving business stakeholder interaction.

  • 2 years of experience with ETL ( ex. SSIS), data processing tools and Reporting tools (ex. SSRS, Tableau).

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience leading or managing small teams effectively and planning/structuring analytical work.

  • Experience building UI applications with any one of Angular, Java spring, APS.net.

  • Experience with DevOps, CI/CD process/tools, containers and schedulers (Autosys, TWS, Control-m).

  • Experience with Asset Management systems, process and products.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills especially in areas of teamwork, facilitation, influence, multi-tasking and negotiation.

  • Experience with vendor integration: Factset, BARRA, Bloomberg or other Fintech.

  • Experience with Unix/Windows commands, scripting, tuning, monitoring and utilities.

  • Experience with agile project management, stakeholder engagement and documentation.

  • Some understanding of quantitative methods in performance, attribution, risk, valuation and portfolio management space and familiarity with related datasets.

  • Some understanding of index/benchmarks, risk models (BARRA, Factset etc.), valuation techniques, portfolio construction, portfolio optimization and factor models.

  • Exposure to micro-service, cloud deployment, big-data, ML/AI and other latest technologies.

Minimum Pay: $112,500.00
