Marketing Automation Specialist
This role will be responsible for enabling personalized customer experiences that support strategic marketing objectives through orchestrating customer journeys across distribution channels. Successful candidate will leverage marketing technology and data to deliver highly personalized, automated customer journeys across multiple audience segments. Effective problem-solving ability, through technical and analytical expertise, and understands end-to-end marketing processes, including strategy, creative development, and marketing operations functions are essential to this role. This individual partners effectively with Technology partners to define and implement marketing automation platform requirements.
This role is at the forefront of activating data driven client journeys, and requires a hybrid of skill sets, which include: hands on coding, test instrumentation, marketing strategy, and client advocacy. You will create 'always on' client journeys to enhance Nuveen's ability to connect with various segments of the market and partner with our sales, marketing, and analytics organizations to bring client journeys to life.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Lead the development of personalized experiences in core marketing automation platform(s) to automate and optimize customer journeys.
Collaborate with sales, marketing, and analytics teams to ensure successful integration of marketing automation as part of the overall client experience.
Translate journey maps into technical use-cases to author and execute business requirements into core automation platform(s). Operating A/B and multivariate testing, and providing feedback and recommendation to optimize digital marketing initiatives.
Leverage dynamic content capabilities to test, improve, and optimize customer journeys at-scale.
Monitor journey and campaign execution metrics, tracking and analyzing performance to generate insights to share back with cross functional teams focused on client engagement.
Partner with Analytics team to establish and monitor KPIs and to provide performance analysis, including recommendations to improve outcomes.
Partner with Technology teams to define and implement new platform features and integrations to successfully deliver and improve marketing automation and reporting capabilities.
.Oversee user testing and QA processes to ensure quality and integrity of automated programs developed
Research, test and apply best practices to improve marketing automation performance.
Deep domain expertise in marketing automation, with extensive experience in HTML coding, working knowledge of SQL query development, and API integration.
Extensive experience in the use of marketing automation technology (Adobe, Eloqua, Salesforce Marketing Cloud/Pardot, etc.) to deliver personalized, omni-channel campaigns and journeys.
Experience leveraging dynamic content to support A/B and multi-variate testing across digital and traditional channels.
Strong data processing, and data management skills, with proven ability to define and act upon data-driven insights.
Ability to author early-stage use-case requirements.
Superior problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail and strong process documentation abilities.
Ability to work cross functionally at all levels of the organization. Highly skilled in issue resolution, negotiation, and consensus building. Strong relationship building, coaching, and communication skills.

Three plus years of experience in the use of marketing automation technology (Salesforce Marketing Cloud/Pardot, Adobe, Eloqua) to deliver personalized, omni-channel Campaigns and Journeys.
Experience leveraging dynamic content to support A/B and multi-variate testing across digital and traditional channels
Strong data processing, and data management skills, with proven ability to define and act upon data-driven insights
Ability to author early-stage use-case requirements.
Superior problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail
Ability to work cross functionally across teams. Highly skilled in issue resolution, negotiation, and consensus building. Strong relationship building, coaching, and communication skills
Experience with object-oriented programming languages such as .NET or Java, Ruby, C#, C++, Python, preferred but not required
Experience connecting CMS (Sitecore, Adobe Experience Manager, other) platform content into marketing automation platform to enable personalization across channels at scale.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously working against tight deadlines
Experience in Financial Services preferred
Experience integrating CRMs with marketing applicationsÂ and processes is a plus
Relevant technical and/or industry certifications (i.e. SFMC certifications) are a plus
Potential Salary: $102,000.00 USD
Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.Â In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).Â
