Nuveen Investments Senior Analyst, Real Estate Data Management in Charlotte, North Carolina

The Real Estate - Data Management and Reporting Senior Analyst oversees both reporting and data management processes to ensure that data is collected, housed and used securely, efficiently, and cost-effectively. This job guides the design and implementation of data management, data storage and other business intelligence systems that provide integrity that is foundational to the organization's decision making process. This role will interact heavily with the real estate and technology teams on transformational projects that drive data prioritization, availability and integrity.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Assists with the development and implementation of data management and reporting programs and policies to support data driven decision making across the organization.

  • Creates feedback loops of data quality through the generation of data quality reporting by utilizing data quality/governance systems.

  • Manages the development or modification of data management and reporting processes/procedures to drive efficiency.

  • Coordinates the collection, structure, and ownership of information across the firm, under the guidance of the Head of Data Governance.

  • Designs workflows to ensure accuracy of financial and operational information entered into the system and leads the testing of new features of the system as they are implemented to verify accuracy.

  • Works to optimize the design and maintenance of reports, dashboards, information systems and applications to ensure efficient reporting across the organization.

  • Identifies potential impacts of significant data management and reporting issues to ensure availability, integrity and accuracy of data.

  • University (Degree) Preferred

  • Relational database, light coding and visualization experience

  • Ability to employ logical queries and processes to ensure appropriate reconciliation of data

  • Must be able to communicate effectively both in writing and orally.


  • 5+ years of data management experience

  • University (Degree) Preferred

  • Data governance or quality experience

  • Financial services experience (asset management, banking, insurance)

  • Experience with a transformational project

  • Data Quality/Governance: Collibra

  • Visualization: Tableau or Power BI

  • Data Prep: Tableau Prep, Python (Pandas)

  • Relational Databases: SQL, Snowflake

Potential Salary: $98,800.00 USD

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
