TIAA Senior Lead IT Engineering Manager in Charlotte, North Carolina
TIAA is seeking a Sr Lead Engineer Mgr with experience leading a global Middleware organization specializing in Middleware technologies and services. This individual is expected to have in depth understanding of Public Cloud, containerization and orchestration platforms as well as a strong background in Web Application development and hosting technologies.Â
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Lead team to identify and act on new solutions that lead to business value.
Leverage CI/CD Pipelines for fast, reliable and consistent deployments.
Provide operational efficiency strategies for existing and new solutions for using automation tools and technology that enhance productivity and reduced cost.Â
Lead, inspire, coach and mentor the Middleware team while growing their leadership and technical skills.
Build trusting relationships with key business stakeholders to align/influence business and IT architecture.
Foster cross functional team collaboration to ensure middleware solutions meet the criteria for availability, performance, resiliency, security and operational efficiency.Â
Champion an inclusive and diverse global mindset to attract a diverse talent pool within the organization that includes effective coaching and development.
Simplify Management of Middleware Security Vulnerabilities and baseline security configuration standards in compliance with industry best practices.
Identify and act on new solutions that lead to business value.Â

Working knowledge of one or more Public Cloud providers: Amazon Web Service, Oracle OCI, Google Cloud
Networking concepts: VPC; VPN; Cider Notation; Load Bal; TLS; Cert Management
DevOps Tools: Puppet, Docker, Ansible, CI/CD: Jenkins, Nexus, Artifactory
Solution Testing: Automated Performance and
Regression/Functional Testing
API/Security: Mulesoft, Ping Identity, Kong;

Base Pay Range: $138,700/yr. - $231,100/yr.
Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).Â
