US Equity Trade Settlements primary focus is on matching, confirmation, transmission, and settlement of US Equity securities. The successful candidate will be an experienced, energetic and contributing member of a highly driven group of professionals focused on settling US equity trades, as well as all tasks associated with the new account setup and account maintenance
Support Equity tradematching, confirmation, transmission, and settlement for all publiclytraded securities
Maintain settlement dataacross various platforms for all accounts and brokers
Work directly with variouscustodians, brokers, and corporate action teams to facilitate anyextraordinary settlement issues
Communicate effectively withTraders, Portfolio Managers, and other internal contacts at all levels inan effort to build strong working relationships with them
Work directly with IT orvendors to resolve any technical issues
Continually be looking for opportunities to improvesystems and processes in order to achieve greater efficiency, accuracy,speed, and straight through processing in our daily tasks
3-5 year experience in aFinancial Services Operations area (Trade Operations, Settlements,Portfolio Accounting, Middle Office)
Solid understanding of thelifecycle of a trade from execution to settlement
Experience with Fixed Incomeand/orEquity Settlements
3-5 year experience withindustry trade matching utilities, like DTCC ALERT, CTM, OASYS
3-5 years' experience withPortfolio Accounting Systems, like Eagle PACE, Portia
3-5 years' experience withorder management systems, like Linedata’s Longview Trading System (LVTS),Charles River Investment Management Solution (CRD) (CRIMS)
Some understanding ofoperational risks and controls as well as identifying areas lackingcontrols and implementing new ones.
Solidunderstanding of various Investment Management products (Pension funds,Mutual funds, Separate accts)
Exceptional communicationskills, written and verbal
Experience in theInvestment Management industry
Excellent inexcel including macros, vlookups, pivot tables and other advanced skills
Solidunderstanding of SWIFT messaging and format
