TIAA Sr DevOps Engineer in CHARLOTTE, North Carolina

TIAA is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer . This role will play key role in DevOps Engineering organization to build, engineer and support CICD framework related products and infrastructure. Individual in this role works closely work with Developers, QA automation engineering and Infrastructure partners across enterprise in maintaining and enhancing DevOps CICD framework.Provide engineering solutions for the end to end design, development and delivery of core technology services as part of DevSecOps Support in accordance with the enterprise solution and business architecture standards and requirements. Communicate progress, technical / non-technical issues, and issue resolution. Lead and contribute to the service delivery across multiple project phases of the software development life cycle. The position may lead or contribute to the design and implementation of new software development and enhancement efforts and software testing with other technologists to improve delivery of core services. Work as part of an IT support team within the construct of a 24 x 7 onshore/offshore model. Develop DevSecOps Support engineering resources with required business and technical skills.


  • Administration of CI Tools (GitLab, Jenkins, Artifactory, SonarQube)

  • Ensure availability of the CI products

  • Continuously monitor, maintain and optimize performance of CITools

  • Work closely with vendor in addressing any major upgrades,plug-ins and critical tickets

  • Continuous review and improve the DevOps CICD pipeline toensure seamless end to end process from Build to Deploy across ALL SDLC andProd environments

  • Work with global teams across the organization totroubleshoot critical CI tools related issues

  • Serve as subject matter expert for leading Best practicesacross DevOps, CICD, Rapid Release and related end to end automation

  • Stay current with relevant emerging technologies, assessapplication to DevOps Support challenges or opportunities determining businessbenefit and impact.

  • Train and coach global team members to ensure proper Level1,Level2 support for the CI Tools.


Required Skills:

  • 4 or more years working experience with DevOps CICD Toolsincluding: source code repository management, CI pipeline configuration, and/orbinary repository management.

  • 3 or more years of Development experience using Java and/orPython

  • 2 or more years of Development experience using Groovy and/orJavascript

  • 2 or moreyears of experience with Maven and/or Gradle

  • 1 or more years of image creation experience using JFrogArtifactory

Desired Skills:

  • Handson knowledge of at least three of the following:

  • Gitlab

  • Jenkins

  • Docker

  • OpenShift or Kubernetes

  • Experience in Java Application development, deployment, configuration,UNIX and integration a plus.

  • 2+ years of container experience

  • 2+ years of experience performing complex troubleshooting andperformance tuning of various issues within CICD tool chain using industrystandard monitoring tools.

  • 3+ years of experiencein building, enhancing, and creating automation for a CICD pipeline

  • Well versed with SAFe/Agile

  • DevSecOpsprinciples and related tools

  • Security,Audit, Compliance

  • Cloudplatform - AWS, Azure

  • Experienceworking in financial services
