TIAA Sr Java Developer in CHARLOTTE, North Carolina

TIAA is currently seeking a Sr. Developer within the Client Services Technology space to work on the development of new work scheduling, as well as plan and execute on system deployment. This role will work within the interface between hardware and software and will require developed knowledge of the clients supported.


  • Re-architect and adapt existing services to use ofup-to-date technologies including Spring 5.0, Jersey 2.26, Spring Batch,Mulesoft, RHAT Linux, JDK 1.8, Splunk, JIRA, GIT, Jenkins, Serena, Angular

  • Must be able to work independently from start to finishon projects and deployments

  • Must be able to lead projects and drive requirementgathering and work with team members to deliver on projects in a SAFe Agile methodology environment

  • Mentor junior developers and take on technicallychallenging projects

  • Be involved in planning and execution of systemdeployment.

  • Evaluates interface between hardware and software,operational requirements, and characteristics of overall system.

  • Develop an understanding of clients' business andsuggest effective programming solutions for ongoing project engagements.

  • Responsibilities include Problem Resolution of ProductionIssues, helping with platform maintenance and involvement with monthlyrelease



  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Java SEand Enterprise Java development environment using Spring Frameworkplatform

  • Spring Batch familiarity or experience developingsolutions

  • Web UI development experience (Angular, Spring MVC,JSF)

  • Web Services experience (SOAP and REST)

  • Linux and Apache Tomcat 8.x (or higher) exposure

Desired Skills:

  • 5+ Years of experience with Spring: Core, Integration,Data JPA, Web services, and JDBC

  • Angular development and integration with SpringFrameworks

  • Multithreading experience using Java and Springexecutors

  • Oracle Database programming (SQL and PL/SQL) anddatabase design fundamentals

  • Unit testing and test-driven development EnterpriseContent Management or Content

  • Archiving products Building content-centricapplications using ECM product

  • APIs Records Management and compliance

  • Strong analysis and design skills including requirementsanalysis

  • Ability to interface with business applicationdevelopers, analyze project requirements, and develop an architecture forintegration of content services into the solution.
