Sr Lead Application Developer

Develops, implements and assesses specific new and emerging technologies, platforms, and services.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Assessing the technical viability of emerging products and technologies.

  • Working with developers and infrastructure specialists to test and evaluate new technologies.

  • Participating in the development of business cases and obtaining approvals for capital expenditures.

  • Monitoring and analyzing new technology product performance and resolving issues regarding potential improvements or modifications to complex situations, as needed.

Required skills:

  • 5 years of experience in application development leadership role involving business stakeholder interaction.

  • 5 years relational database technologies, optimization, data analysis and troubleshooting.

  • 2 years of experience C# or java or SQL programming language.

  • 2 years of experience with ETL (ex. SSIS), data processing tools and Reporting tools (ex. SSRS, Tableau).

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience leading or managing small teams effectively and planning/structuring work.

  • Execution experience with Agile and SLDC project management with necessary documentation.

  • Strong understanding on various architecture (business, data, digital, information systems, infrastructure).

  • Experience with data management, data integration, data processing and reporting tools.

  • Multi-year experience with asset management systems, process and products.

  • Experience documenting business process, data models, data mapping and business requirements.

  • Understanding on DevOps, CI/CD, Scheduler and Product Based Operating Model.

  • Experience with vendor integration: FactSet, MSCI, Bloomberg, Morningstar and other FinTech.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills especially in areas of teamwork, facilitation, influence, and negotiation.

  • Passion for excellence and delivering business value.

  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment.

  • Knowledge around portfolio construction, performance evaluation and analytics.

Minimum Pay: $112,500.00
