TIAA Sr Network Engineer - Telemetry in Charlotte, North Carolina

TIAA has an opportunity for a Sr. Network Engineer – Telemetry. This role will design and implement network telemetry solutions for data center environments, supporting zero trust network architecture (ZTNA) principles. This role will work in a Hybrid-Flex environment (i.e., three (3) days in the office are required and two (2) days virtually).

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Design and implement network telemetry solutions for data center environments, supportingzero trust network architecture (ZTNA) principles.

  • Utilize telemetry data to identify application communication patterns, dependencies, andvalidate policies for segmentation.

  • Reduce lateral movement within the data center by developing and enforcing segmentationstrategies aligned with ZTNA principles.

  • Provide engineering oversight of Cisco Secure Workload components.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of network telemetrysolutions that support ZTNA.

  • Automate policy creation and enforcement for network segmentation in line with zero trustprinciples.

  • Troubleshoot and support network-related issues, including Cisco ACI contracts.

  • Create and maintain documentation, procedures, and user support guides related to ZTNA andtelemetry.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Minimum of three (3) years working with Cisco networking experience focused on Routing and Switching

  • Minimum of three (3) years' experience supporting, monitoring, configuring, and implementing enterprise networks with diverse solutions from multiple vendors on a large enterprise and global scale

Preferred:

  • Direct experience with Cisco Secure Workload (a.k.a Cisco Tetration) from both a server-side and agent client-side perspective

  • 2+ years supporting/troubleshooting Cisco ACI constructs, policy, and contracts

  • Experience with migrations of critical network infrastructure

  • 2+ years of Python programming experience, with emphasis on one or more of: Infrastructure Automation & Scripting, API Scripting & Development, Data Analysis & Visualization, Version Control Software & Workflows Possess a detailed understanding of network segmentation / micro-segmentation, and zero trust network architecture (ZTNA) principles

  • Ability to translate business requirements into credible, high-quality, and resilient designs based upon the organization's roadmaps and standards

  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with all levels of internal & external stakeholders

  • Experience with network automation platforms, specifically Ansible

Base Pay Range: $93,600/yr. - $130,000/yr.

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
