POSITION SUMMARY:

TIAA is seeking a Sr. Windows and VMware Server Administrator to join their global operations team. This position can be located in their Charlotte, NC or Broomfield, CO office. This team is responsible for the infrastructure stability/availability of all Windows and VMware INF servers/hosts in on-prem/off-prem hosting applications supporting clients around the world.

This role is responsible for administering, supporting and maintaining server hardware platforms, operating systems, and associated Enterprise technologies, products and tools.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

· Builds, deploys, maintains and assist with repairs of Windows and VMware servers/hosts on racks, blades, and hyper converged infrastructures

· Provide operational support/system administration of server hardware/OS that includes coordinating server hardware/OS repair with vendors, storage migrations, refresh of server OS/hardware, updating firmware/drivers, server decommissions, patching, implementing/supporting complex/high availability systems, assist with disaster recovery, software deployments

· Troubleshoots and resolves server infrastructure related issues, collaborating with internal and external teams

· Develops and maintains documentation on server infrastructure, software systems components, and disaster recovery methodology

· Ensures company backups are running on a regular basis and restores files as needed

· Participates in special projects and performs other duties as required

Required:

· Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior level role supporting medium to large networks/systems

· Minimum of 7 years hands-on experience with Windows Server 2012/2016 operating systems, patching, backup/restore, monitoring and other management/administration software and components

· Minimum of 5 years’ experience with administration in a large enterprise Server virtualization technologies, like VMware

· Minimum of 7 years hands-on experience with Microsoft Active Directory and clustering technologies

· Minimum of 5 years hands-on experience working with SAN/NAS storage systems

· Minimum of 2 years’ experience with scripting for automation server-related tasks

Preferred:

· Bachelor’s degree

· Experience working with Microsoft technologies/products - SCCM, SCOM, Office 365,

· Experience supporting replication technologies/products – Zerto, Double-Take

· Experience with cloud technologies

· Microsoft Certifications (i.e. MCSE, MCSA, MCP)

· VMware certification (VCP or higher)

· Ability to work in a fast pace environment and work well under pressure

· Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally

· Advanced understanding of Enterprise information security and best practices
