Provides expertise and guidance for the selection, design, development and promotion of new or enhanced alternatives products distributed through the retail channel.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Monitoring the retail alternatives marketplace, while paying particular attention to direct competitors, to assess product trends and results in order to recommend new products or features for the organization.

• Developing and designing the features of a designated new product or enhancement to address an identified market need or opportunity.

• Planning and leading the promotional efforts for new or enhanced products, including both internal and external marketing, advertising, communication and training, and relationship building activities.

• Monitoring business results of assigned products and recommending modifications in product features, pricing, and marketing approaches to improve results.Â

AVP, Alternative Investments Product

The position of AVP, Alternative Investments Product, will focus on product management responsibilities including the on-going management and oversight of various alternative public and private funds distributed through the wealth channel. In addition, the role will support established products from a governance and business performance perspective.  The AVP will achieve results through leadership and collaboration with senior investment management, sales, legal, marketing, operations, and finance personnel.

Responsibilities:

• Manages alternative investment products on the basis of profitability, investment performance, governance, operating model, vendor management, and strategic direction of the firm.

• Manages internal governance /approval process for product changes.

• Supports distribution platform through training, education and research.

• Supports product development and drives overall product managements and services through coordinating cross-functional teams and project management of key initiatives.

• Leads structuring changes of products or accounts, working closely with portfolio management, legal, accounting, and client servicing teams.

• Serves as subject matter expert on assigned product matters with clients

• Coordinates with peers to manage vendor support (fintech, administrators, legal) and procedures for assigned products.

• Ensures products are compliant with regulatory requirements.

• Supports broader alternatives product team through various business management tasks

Qualifications

Required

• 3+ years of direct experience managing alternative products and strategies distributed through retail channels including non-traded REITs, BDCS, interval funds or tender offer funds as well as private structures.

• Experience working with non-traditional asset classes including private equity, private debt and real assets.

• Structuring experience with investment management, either from sell-side/buy-side firm or a reputed law firm.

Preferred

• BA, specializing in finance, investments, law or engineering required.

• CFA or CAIA designation preferred.

• Experience with private onshore and offshore  structures (US, Cayman, Lux domiciled) is a plus

• Must be self-directed with ability to escalate as needed

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Potential Salary: $116,300.00 USD

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).Â
