Client Portfolio Manager, Muni-Nuveen Equity and Fixed Income

The Client Portfolio Manager, Muni-NEFI job supports activities within taxable municipal investment products and the client portfolio management for taxable municipal strategies by ensuring information is accessible for clients to understand. Working independently with general supervision, this job is responsible for fielding questions from external clients, compiling information, drafting client and market presentations, and shadowing client or prospective client calls and presentations.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Supports clients by responding to questions for taxable municipal offerings and working with portfolio management, research and operations as needed to answer specific questions.

  • Promptly responds to the requests of institutional investors as it relates to existing portfolio data requests.

  • Maintains and supports relationships with client portfolio managers and sales teams, reviewing account level information regarding portfolio holdings, total and averages, performance to be provided as needed.

  • Supports partnerships with marketing by reviewing and assisting with regularly updating marketing materials as appropriate to advance the sale or product placement of any municipal strategy.

  • Shadows client or prospective calls and presentations in order to support both sales and clients.

Required qualifications:

  • 2+ years fixed income experience.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 3+ years fixed income experience.

  • Interest and knowledge of industry trends and fixed income markets.

  • Ability to conduct calls outside of normal business hours on a quarterly basis.

  • Outstanding analytical skills.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.Â

  • Excellent planning, organization and time management skills.Â

  • Ability to analyze and prioritize requests. Â

  • Ability to work independently and as a team member.Â

  • Critical thinker and self-starter. Â

Potential Salary: $102,750.00 USD

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).Â
