Lifetime Income and Default Distribution

The Lifetime Income and Default Distribution role is accountable for the development and execution of strategies for distributing TIAA's lifetime income solutions and custom default solutions directly to Institutional clients and independent consultants. This role is also responsible for leading the team that delivers Retireplus sales strategies, plan level investment reviews, distribution of ESG solutions and detailed investment product presentations to secure buy ratings on the TIAA and CREF suite of annuities to institutional clients and Consultants. These investment discussions with clients, consultant research teams, and third party advisors are extremely important as these annuities represent $392B or 84% of our proprietary assets with these recordkeeping clients and the custom default solutions represent an incremental revenue opportunity of over $135M over the next five years.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Leads the development and execution for recordkeeping clients of sales plans and strategies to ensure Lifetime Income Solution Sales and retention goals and objectives are achieved.

  • Translates the vision into strategic business plans unique for each Institutional client and consulting firm; understands the role requirements to build a team which can deliver strong results; develops close successful partnerships with internal and external stakeholders; develops and maintains an active pipeline of internal and external talent.

  • Accountable and responsible for sales/distribution and ongoing retention of TIAA’s Default Suite of custom solutions for recordkeeping clients and their consultants.

  • Responsible for Sales and Distribution of TIAA Stable Value solutions to recordkeeping clients and their consultants.

  • Accountable and responsible to educate and inform our recordkeeping clients and consultants on TIAA’s annuity contracts.

  • Leads Voice of the Customer feedback back to TCR Product, Nuveen Product, Operations, Implementation, Compliance, Marketing and Legal teams.

  • Responsible to lead the team calling on Independent Consultant research teams in order to gain support and buy recommendations on the TIAA and CREF annuities.

  • Provides PR support and Government Relations support as needed to provide support of the Lifetime Income suite of solutions.

  • Provides Industry Thought Leadership Presentations to inform the value of innovative lifetime Income solutions and custom default solutions.

  • Provides critical inputs into the execution of deals to ensure Blue Sheet strategies are being created across the firm including key business partners: Relationship Managers, Consulting Relations, Sales Directors, and Investment Strategists.

Educational Requirements

  • University (Degree) Preferred

Work Experience

  • 10+ Years Required

FINRA Registrations

Base Pay Range: $222,000/yr. - $370,000/yr.

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).Â
