Jr Analyst, Business Strategy & Affiliate Relations-NEFI
Assists all members of the Team carry out strategic priorities.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Gain familiarity with leading asset managers and industry trends.
Assist in developing presentations, memorandums, financial analysis, communications, and project plans that support the organization’s strategic initiatives.
Assume an active role in internal meetings by helping set agendas with stated objectives, outcomes and deliverables.
Participate in Team meetings and provide progress reports on key initiatives.
Develop an understanding of Nuveen’s investment specialists and capabilities.

Partner across the organization to help plan and execute on Nuveen Equities and Fixed Income’s strategic initiatives
Perform market and financial analyses such as competitor intelligence and financial modeling to support business needs
Assist in and eventually take ownership of key leadership reporting deliverables such as quarterly business updates, board reporting, town halls, strategic reviews and other ad-hoc reporting
Assist in facilitating the communication of strategy vertically through various levels of Nuveen / TIAA and across key partners and functions (e.g. Distribution, Product, HR, Finance)
Present strategic updates, business cases and other analyses to senior leadership
Develop metrics and benchmarks to measure key functions and initiatives
Provide support on acquisitions and restructurings, including assessing strategic fit, identifying and executing on synergies with the Nuveen operating model, and coordinating collaboration and integration across all business functions
- 3 years' experience in a Business Strategy and/or Analyst role
5 years' experience in a Business Strategy and/or Analyst role
Demonstrated analytical ability and problem-solving capabilities, including strong financial modeling skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills and an ability to articulate complex business issues to executive management
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint with experience creating sophisticated presentation materials
Familiarity with financial statements and valuation
Basic project management skills
Willingness to travel for business as needed
Keen attention to detail
Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills
Ability to work well under pressure, juggle multiple tasks, and work efficiently against tight deadlines
Potential Salary: $85,000.00 USD
Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
