Key Responsibilities and Duties
Performing data maintenance activities by analyzing data requirements. Defining and organizing application databases and data dictionaries.
Assisting with data-system performance monitoring, tuning and the development and implementation of improvements.
Assisting with data administration and reporting duties, including information gathering and data source, transformation, integrity, maintenance, performance analysis and capacity planning.
Providing support for maintaining and disseminating standards and guidelines for using, controlling, creating, and maintaining corporate databases.
Educational Requirements

Nuveen is seeking a Lead Analyst, Investment Data Services to support our Performance and Portfolio Analytics group. The individual will function as a lead analyst in the Investment Analytics area and will work as a part of a dynamic team in a rapidly growing environment. The candidate is expected to possess superior analytical and technical skills. The ideal candidate should have a thorough understanding of investment data, portfolio characteristics and analytics across multiple asset classes, and expertise with an array of data analysis techniques.
Required Skills:
2 or more years of investment data analytics experience.
2 or more years of advanced Microsoft Suite utilization experience (Excel VBA, Access DB utilities, etc.)
2 or more years of front office, marketing, client services support experience.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with investment position, transaction, and security reference data masters.
Experience with SQL, Python, and other data analysis/transformation tools.
Experience with FactSet.
Experience with Bloomberg.

Base Pay Range: $78,500/yr. - $130,900/yr.
Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
