Compensation

Manages the development, implementation, maintenance and communication of the organization's compensation programs, policies and processes; oversees the analysis of budgets and plans within various pay programs.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Advising senior management on aligning the pay programs, policies and procedures with organizational goals; implementing creative solutions to specific comp-related programs.

  • Ensuring the effectiveness of existing compensation practices and regulations compliance, making timely revisions when needed, and keeping senior staff informed of any updated policies.

  • Overseeing the data within the HRIS to ensure the accuracy of compensation information including incentive calculations, approvals for award payments, and payment records.

  • Managing job evaluations, salary surveys, and all analytical reporting to prepare recommendations and determine pay grades based on findings.

This position is open across the US and preferred work locations include but not limited to the following: Charlotte, NC and Chicago, IL.

Additional Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of two or three compensation associates

  • Lead the development and implementation of effective compensation plans that align with business objectives

  • Provide input to compensation discussion sections of RFPs, client communications, Fund Board and TIAA Board materials

Required:

  • 5+ years of compensation experience

Desired:

  • 8+ years of progressive experience in the compensation field in the Asset Management industry

  • Design, modelling and analysis, including complex equity plans

  • Experience with coordination across multi-level and complex organizations

  • Work with job levelling and titling frameworks, manage market matching and pricing, short term and long-term incentive plan design and determination of funding mechanisms.

  • Effectively manage the year-end process including allocation of cascading compensation pools, promotions, salary increases as well as equity and carry grants, bonus payments, profits interest distributions and repurchases

Minimum Pay: $122,000.00
