POSITION SUMMARY:

As a Director within ourResponsible Investing team you will have the opportunity towork in a high profile, dynamic role with an institution that has a strong history of responsible investing. Your role willprimarily focus on ensuring our business is well positioned to meet the growing demand within the Responsible Investing team to support Nuveen globally. You will work alongside and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders in shaping and distributing our value narrative and commitment to responsible investing along with identifying and managing targeted responsible investing communications opportunities. Your work will include working withNuveen Distribution and Marketing teams across multiple asset classes. This hands-on individual contributor role will be accountable for significant writing and project management related work.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Develop andcoordinate stakeholder-specific subject matter for theResponsible Investingteam and partners across the enterprise, providingrelevant content, insights, and timely information about Nuveen’s responsible investingprogrammatic framework, principles and investing activities

  • Coordinateresponsible investingwork and activities aligned with theResponsible Investing team’sstrategic plan

  • Support thedevelopment of internally distributedresponsible investingcontentfor TIAA enterprise needs andinitiatives

  • Fulfill internal & external education needs and other value addservices for client facing partner teams across Nuveen and TIAA

  • Manage and support select cross-cutting deliverables in response to specialproject assignments related to theResponsible Investingteam’s strategic priorities

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree preferred

  • Eight or more years of financial services experience

  • Prior responsible investing and/or ESG related experience

Desired

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills and a personableapproach capable of building effective relationships with a wide range of internaland external constituencies

  • Self-starter with a collaborative yet entrepreneurial work style

  • Strong organizational and project management skills; strong knowledge ofMicrosoft Office; proven ability to work in diverse team environment, as wellas independently; comfortable with interaction across business lines and with executivesand senior leadership

  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, prioritize, and manage multiple,concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities while delivering qualityoutcomes
