TIAA AI Enterprise Architect in Dallas, Texas

TIAA is seeking an AI Enterprise Architect with a strong focus on Artificial Intelligence (AI) to join our Technology Architecture and Transformation team. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of AI technologies and their applications in large-scale enterprise environments. This role requires strategic vision, technical expertise, and the ability to align AI initiatives with business goals to drive innovation and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Design and implement AI-driven architecture strategies aligned with business goals and the technology roadmap.

  • Lead the implementation of scalable AI systems and solutions, ensuring integration with existing enterprise architecture.

  • Evaluate emerging AI technologies and provide recommendations for enterprise-wide adoption.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders, to identify opportunities and deliver impactful AI solutions.

  • Establish governance frameworks, best practices, and standards for AI development and deployment.

  • Identify and manage risks associated with AI implementations, ensuring compliance, security, and ethical integrity.

  • Monitor and optimize AI system performance to ensure outcomes are achieved efficiently.

  • Drive continuous improvement by incorporating AI industry advancements, tools, and practices into enterprise solutions.

Required Skills:

  • Proven experience as an Enterprise Architect in large-scale environments with a focus on AI.

  • Demonstrated leadership in cross-functional team environments.

  • Proficiency in machine learning, including supervised/unsupervised learning and reinforcement learning.

  • Hands-on experience with ML frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch.

  • Expertise in:

  • NLP (sentiment analysis, language detection, categorization)

  • Computer Vision (visual content analysis)

  • Generative AI and large language models (e.g., Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock)

  • Data Engineering (data pipelines, preprocessing)

  • Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)

  • Programming Languages (Python, Java, R, C++)

  • AI Ethics and Security

  • AI Strategy and Communication

Preferred Skills:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.

  • Certifications in AI/ML, enterprise architecture (TOGAF, Zachman), or cloud platforms.Experience in regulated industries or with compliance-heavy environments.

  • Demonstrated success in adopting and driving innovation using emerging AI technologies.Ability to stay current with AI market trends and apply best practices to organizational challenges.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Base Pay Range: $143,600/yr. - $209,900/yr.

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
