Nuveen Investments Loan Operations Associate in Darien, Connecticut

The Asset Management Associate plays a critical role in managing loans post-close. The Associate works with both internal and external stakeholders to service loans across multiple states and jurisdictions. Under direct supervision, the Associate is responsible for managing a portfolio of C-PACE loans and maintaining a positive relationship with state program administrators, service providers and borrowers.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provides outstanding customer service after C-PACE loan closing, which includes guiding contractors through the disbursement process, responding to borrowers’ requests and questions, and enthusiastically supporting the organization’s capital loan Nuveen Green Capital’s mission as a Lender of Choice.

  • Ensures compliance with loan contract requirements by reviewing insurance certificates, maintaining records of exceptions in agreements, and maintaining files of all necessary documents.

  • Onboards new loans onto the servicing platform and monitors repayments, updating the servicing system, and reporting on delinquencies.

  • Ensures that C-PACE is accurately billed on property bills, third parties, or directly (as applicable) and appropriately resolves any discrepancies identified in billing.

  • Assists with payoff statements and lien release documents and monitoring existing contractors for insurance expirations and other updates.

  • Registers and administers contractors in accordance to the organization’s capital loan platform Nuveen Green Capital and C-PACE programs requirements.

  • Reviews information submitted for completeness and compliance with registration guidelines, following up on missing items.

  • Assists with disbursements on energy efficiency projects within the portfolio, which includes items such as: in-taking, reviewing, processing and project managing draw requests and updating, tracking and reporting draw amounts.

  • Identifies critical risks or project setbacks through review and analysis of submitted loan documentation including but not limited to budget allocations, title documentation and site inspections.

  • Works with contractors, sub-contractors, vendors, engineers/inspectors, attorneys and borrowers to resolve any project issues or loan documentation needs as they arise and orders and reviews title searches for additional loans and/or liens on portfolio assets.

Base Pay Range: $45,000/yr. - $75,000/yr.

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).Â
