Investment Data Services Analyst Ld

The Lead Investment Data Services Analyst will primarily be responsible for the validation and oversight of investment, portfolio, and firm data analytics reporting required by Client Portfolio Management, Investment Oversight, Marketing, Client Service, Legal/Compliance, and other areas within the enterprise. In addition to reporting oversight, the Lead Investment Data Services Analyst will be responsible for preparing responses to highly complex or technical inquiries and will participate in projects related to the implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of enterprise data platforms as well as related efforts that arise in support of the enterprise. Finally, the Lead Investment Data Services Analyst will provide day to day operational guidance and support to other team members.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • The following duties are generally representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive.

  • Respond to ad-hoc investment related inquiries from various internal parties, understand the uses and sources of data and report architecture related to business requirements.

  • Rationalize the uses and sources of data and make recommendations on how to streamline in terms of time and quality of data.

  • Contribute to standards around sourcing and definition of data on a tactical and strategic basis.

  • Participate in enterprise projects ensuring deadlines are met while collaborating with other business units throughout the firm.

  • Partner with various teams throughout the firm (marketing, RFP, client services, etc.) to ensure reports are distributed in a timely and accurate manner.

  • Support reporting needs across asset classes (equity, fixed income, alternatives, and private investments) encompassing performance, portfolio analytics, firm data, primarily focused on highly complex analysis requiring sophisticated understanding of investments markets and superior analytical capabilities to ensure success.

  • Respond to ad-hoc investment related inquiries from various internal parties, understand the uses and sources of data and report architecture related to business requirements.

  • Assist with development, preparation of documentation and controls around team workflow and processes.

  • Provide mentorship and guidance to other team members regarding workflow, response coordination, and day to day operational oversight.

Required Skills:

  • 2+ years of investment data analysis or related investment industry experience.

  • Experience with financial reporting, securities data, and/or investment data analysis

Preferred Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Accounting, Economics, or Computer Science

  • CFA, CIPM, or CAIA certification is preferred.

  • Previous experience leading and/or mentoring a team of analysts.

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including VBA

  • Familiarity with third-party platforms such as Factset, Eagle, Bloomberg preferred

  • Experience utilizing SQL, R, or Python a plus

Potential Salary: $106,100.00 USD

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).Â
