TIAA Lead Systems Analyst in DENVER, Colorado

Summary

The TIAA Financial Solutions (TFS) team within TIAA is searching for a motivated, enthusiastic, proactive team player to support its Retirement Plan Recordkeeping (OmniDC) platform. The team’s mission is to provide 24 x 7 production support for the OmniDC suite of applications and supports the user community by resolving production issues in a timely manner. The team also assists with Adhoc reporting needs as well as Bulk transaction builds in the ProdFix (test) environment. The candidate will perform / ensure the overall coordination, status reporting and stability of baseline (support) oriented work efforts. This includes daily support of tactical items as well as strategic key initiatives and process improvements. This role is responsible for assembling team assignments, directing and monitoring work efforts on a daily basis, identifying resource needs, performing quality reviews, documenting and escalating issues appropriately.

Responsibilities

  • Work on Production issues anddefects to provide timely diagnostics, recommendations and resolution.

  • Interface with otherdownstream application and business operations teams on issues andproblems to manage business workflows.

  • Serve as Liaison between theIT Development teams and the Business/Operations teams.

  • Identify areas ofimprovement, implementing automation and monitoring and inspection ofoutputs and resulting data where appropriate.

  • Maintain supportdocumentation and process flows.Understand and be able to provide detailed and high level dataflows descriptions for applications supported, document how the data willbe transformed.

  • Identify issues or risksassociated with an incident, escalating them and implementing mitigationstrategies for risk prevention and timely resolution

  • Work closely with internalbusiness customers to understand business needs and applicationfunctionality

  • Participate in project designreviews to provide a unique business/technical support perspective

  • Serves as a point person forbusiness and IT partners when complex or critical issues arise

  • Make independent decisionsand judgment calls on behalf of the team and management when/as needed

  • Communicate high priority andcritical issues to all levels of leadership and business stakeholders

  • Communicates technicalrelated issues to both technical and non-technical audiences with aspecific ability to translate into business acumen from technical language

Requirement:

  • Active experience andknowledge of Retirement plans, products, and recordkeeping systems.

  • 7 or more years working withFIS’ (Formerly SunGard) Omni DC Recordkeeping System

  • 5 or more years of experienceworking in a Production Support Environment

  • 3 or moreyears in a Senior level or leadershiprole

  • Strong proficiency inunderstanding and developing with OmniScript within a mainframeenvironment

  • Strong proficiency with OmniDC transaction and batch processing

Preferences

  • Bachelor’s degree orequivalent work experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, orother related field

  • Strong communication skills,written and oral

  • Ability to be flexible withwork schedule

  • A critical thinker, quick torecognize and decide the most effective course of action in a complex andchanging environment

  • Results driven and actionoriented individual

  • Ability to work independentlyin a fast-paced team environment

  • Former or current TIAAexperience a plus

  • Experience working in avirtual team environment

  • Good knowledge of MS Officesuite with proficiency in Excel

  • Willingness to learn newtechnologies

  • Adaptable to changingenvironments
