Manages a team of private banking office staff; develops private banking strategies and services.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Manages team members and updates private banking tools to meet product sales and financial goals for deposits, loans, and fee-based products.
Establishes sales goals for the team, tracks and measures the team's performance.
Builds and maintains relationships with private banking clients through excellent customer service; ensures that the client's needs are consistently met.
Develops private banking services such as cash management, investments, and deposits to increase profitability.

Overview of the Role
The Head of Switzerland will be responsible for:
The start up of the Swiss branch by growing new business via wholesale (i.e. fund managers and retail third party distributors) and institutional channels (i.e. private pension funds and insurance companies etc.) Managing existing business generated till now, by servicing relationships with Swiss institutional consultants and with FSUs; Building the infrastructure required for the local business to grow, by identifying new local market trends and local regulatory frameworks which might have an impact on local markets.
Key responsibilities will include:
Oversight and day-to-day management of the Swiss Regulated branch including people, process and operations.
Evaluate, create and deliver a strategic plan for Switzerland, working closely with the GCG management team and shared service departments.
Manage key client relationships at a senior level to identify and diligently pursue new potential business and retain existing business.
Drive growth of institutional channel by focusing on largest Swiss pensions and consultants.
Contribute and actively support the growth of the European Wealth Management Channel mainly covering UBS and CS initially and later the entire Swiss Private Banking community.
On UBS and CS, he/she will act as key reference in our relationship and coordination activity with colleagues across the world with the final goal to improve our business.
Actively working with Product group in order to develop investment solutions (UCITS, sub-advisory mandates etc.) to be able to answer local institutional and Wealth Management product needs.
Develop and execute strategy to cross sell public and private investment solutions.
Drive new revenue and new mandate generation across products and client types.
Lead robust client and prospect meetings and engagement activity.
Initiate brand building and sales activity with investors not currently engaged in discussions with Nuveen, working closely with Marketing and interacting with Local Associations.
Develop and execute strategy to uncover and develop mandates that will have the most commercial impact.
Work collaboratively with partners within Nuveen to drive new business opportunities and solve complex client issues and challenges.
Lead support staff on assigned client relationships to provide client service and implement sales strategy.
Ability to mentor junior team members and contribute to the teamâs overall development.
Technical Skills & Qualifications Required
Experience of running a regulated branch.
Demonstrable knowledge of local financial services regulation and its practical application to the Nuveen business.
Significant experience within asset management with relevant experience in alternatives and traditional asset classes.
Demonstrable track record within institutional and wholesale clients in Switzerland
Established network of key decision makers within relevant Swiss institutions.
Track record of building strong working partnerships and effectively managing client expectations.
Solid product and investment knowledge with a consolidated experience within the UCITs and private funds world at European level
Degree in related field (Economics, Finance, Accounting, or Marketing).
Self-motivated individual, with the ability to take ownership to ensure outcomes are achieved.
Effective communication skills with both external clients and prospects but also internally.
