TIAA Sr. Director, Growth Marketing, Event Strategy in Frisco, Texas

This Event Strategy Marketing role is responsible for development and execution of strategic proprietary and non-proprietary event experiences and campaigns in partnership with Marketing and Distribution colleagues aimed at acquiring new clients and deepening relationships with existing and new consultant and advisor partners.

The role plans, develops and executes sophisticated event strategies through thoughtful integration of traditional and digital marketing approaches, leveraging audience segmentation, marketing automation, and social media to create immersive experiences that strengthen relationships with institutional consultants, advisors and prospective plan sponsors, while generating qualified leads for distribution teams.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Leads strategy development and delivery of Go-To-Market plans for proprietary and non-proprietary events and executes deliverables against plan

  • Creates and manages annual event calendar in partnership with Distribution, and identifies opportunities for new events and/or concepts to drive engagement

  • Establishes and maintains strong working relationships and collaboration with sales organization and business partners

  • Partners cross-functionally with subject matter experts, Marketing and Compliance teams to develop compelling, compliant content that aligns with audience strategy and reinforces TIAA's thought leadership position while ensuring all event materials meet regulatory requirements and brand standards.

  • Responsible for campaign planning, development and execution in partnership with Sales and functional marketing and event team members

  • Develops appropriate departmental measurements and key performance indicators (KPIs) based on overall business goals, tracking and analyzing event performance metrics and ROI.

  • Provides tactical and custom marketing support aligned with Client marketing support model in partnership with functional areas of marketing

Educational Requirements

  • Experience creating and tracking program metrics and KPIs

  • Build trust, credibility and strong relationships with internal/external customers and team members

  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills

  • Able to work effectively in a fast paced, cross-functional, changing environment

  • Seasoned relationship builder able to establish effective partnerships at all levels of the organization, including senior leadership.

  • Demonstrated understanding of Retirement marketplace, competitive landscape and regulatory environment.

  • Successful experience in developing and implementing event plans and budget management.

  • Proven ability to influence the development of effective creative concepts and marketing strategies.

Base Pay Range: $160,000/yr - $210,000/yr

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
