TIAA Sr. Lead Cryptography Engineer in Frisco, Texas

TIAA is seeking a Sr. Lead Cryptography Engineer role to support their organization. This role will collaborate with many business units and stakeholders across the organization to automate certificate lifecycle, manage encryption keys, and the certificate authorities providing certs for TIAA systems.

This role will work with limited supervision, develop, implement robust technical solutions, and advanced analytics to automate certificate/key lifecycle efforts. Furthermore, this role will conduct and review the testing of the current state of the EKM architecture and proposes improvement recommendations by gathering key insights found from stakeholder discussions, testing, and analyzing the current systems and networks.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Function as primary Subject Matter Expert for one or more PKI/CLM/KMS systems.

  • Function as senior escalation point for complex EKM related incidents and problems.

  • Provides engineering support for critical EKM systems and services including PKI/CLM/KMS application servers, automation workflows, HSMs.

  • Identifies opportunities for new CLM/KMS patterns and develops solutions to support the design.

  • Lead the design and implementation of secure, robust, supportable PKI/CLM/KMS.

  • Leveraging input from management, analyze recent technology trends to inform EKM roadmap decisions.

  • Coaches, reviews, and delegates work to lower-level professionals to enhance their knowledge and performance related to information technology (IT) Security.

  • Functions as an internal information security consultant on the standards, complex issues, and best practices for the organization.

  • Conducts testing and analysis of complex software systems to determine both the functionality and intent of the systems.

  • Communicates with cybersecurity risk and security operation teams to enhance the overall security posture of the enterprise.

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience Required

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Minimum of 5+ years of professional information security experience.

Preferred:

  • College degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).

  • Hands-on experience in implementing and supporting various security platforms (firewalls, proxy, DLP, SIEM, endpoint, vulnerability scanning, PKI, DoS prevention, MFA).

  • Familiar with C, C++, and Python.

  • Familiar with cryptographic libraries and algorithms.

  • Possess a solid understanding of incident handling best practices.

  • Possess strong interpersonal, written, and oral communications skills.

  • Excellent analytical problem-solving & decision-making abilities.

  • Strong customer service and solution-focused orientation.

  • Possess CISSP certification.

  • Familiar with threat analysis models such as the Cyber kill Chain and the MITRE ATT&CK framework.

  • Familiar with identity-centric zero trust network access (ZTNA) solutions such as MS Entra Private Access.

Anticipated Posting End Date:

Base Pay Range: $152,200/yr. - $253,600/yr.

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
