Sr Info Sec Incident Response Specialist

The Information Security Incident Response Specialist – Purple Team job assists in enhancing log visibility and identification of internal gaps. Working independently under general supervision, this job finds risks within network and systems across the origination, identifies remediation, and deters potential threats. This job is helping take cybersecurity to a proactive level.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Uses current and emerging attack methodologies to identify and remediate gaps in tool coverage.

  • Conducts internal penetration tests on systems and networks to determine realistic threat vectors.

  • Effectively communicate findings, attack paths, and recommendations to stakeholders

  • Train others in adversary simulation tactics and procedures

  • Stay informed on current security trends, publications, and advisories.

Educational Requirements

  • University (Degree) Preferred

Work Experience

  • 3+ Years Required; 5+ Years Preferred

Required Qualifications

· 3 or more years red team information security experience.

Preferred Qualifications

· Knowledge of offensive security, with the ability to think like an adversary when hunting and responding to incidents

· Experience creating new security alerts, reports, or other monitoring capabilities.

· Coordinate with different teams to improve threat detection, response, and improve overall security posture.

· Experience with enterprise information security data management and log aggregation tools.

· Experience in scripting languages such as (or similar to) Python, PERL, and Ruby.

· Industry-recognized information security certifications, i.e. OSCP, HTB CPTS

· Passionate about identifying malicious attackers, and understanding attack vectors, threat tactics

Base Pay Range: $81,200/yr. - $135,300/yr.

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
