TIAA Lead Info Security Gov - Risk Specialist in ISELIN, New Jersey

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Lead Info Security Governance & Risk Specialist is responsible for leading and supporting IT Risk Assessment control validation and testing functions. The role is also responsible for engaging with Cybersecurity & various IT areas (e.g. Application, Infrastructure) to evaluate IT controls; while maintaining a risk based approach in support of applicable laws and regulations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIESAND DUTIES:

  • Lead and support IT RiskAssessment control validation, testing and reporting functions.

  • Support IT Risk assessmentexecution across various technologies and platforms (e.g. applications,infrastructure). Identify and implement improvements to assessmentprocesses (e.g. collection & analysis methods, automation, etc.)

  • Coordinate with others acrossIT Risk to clarify control standards & procedures, detect controlgaps, and improve processes.

  • Provide guidance to IT teams onthe implementation of appropriate controls and track progress.

  • Participate in the developmentof metrics in support of IT Risk objectives

QUALIFICATIONS:

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • 5 or more years IT experience.

  • 7 or more years of IT Risk, ITSecurity or IT Audit experience.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Experience working with asystems development lifecycle (SDLC)

  • Experience working with MSExcel, Word, PowerPoint and SharePoint

  • Working knowledge andunderstanding of regulatory compliance concerns, data protection/PII andindustry standards, security and risk frameworks (i.e., COBIT, Risk IT,Val IT, ITIL, PCI-DSS).

  • Experience working in FinancialServices or other regulated industry

  • Certifications: CISA, CRISCand/or equivalent

  • Familiarity with Archer eGRCand/or other GRC tools

  • Excellent written and verbalcommunication skills

  • Strong problem solving, projectmanagement, and relationship management skills
