Key Responsibilities and Duties
Lead negotiations in complex, high impact or volatile situations involving high business risks and succeeding in obtaining best price/performance and price/quality ratio to realize structural savings/avoidances.
Assist in ensuring the accuracy and maintenance of FITS (optimize Spend) our inventory management systems.
SME of suppliers across multiple asset classes and data types (Indices, Research, Analytics, Evaluated Prices, and Reference Data to name a few).
Work very closely with Strategic Sourcing to ensure T&C’s of the contracts adhere to company standards and business requirements are clearly defined in the schedule of services.
Assist team in strategic projects to enhance, improve and deliver Market Data recommendations, cost optimization/savings references and optimal review of best practices.
Engage with various businesses to discuss and implement new strategies/products/funds to ensure the right suppliers are involved during RFPs across a range of asset classes (Loans, Real Estate, Alternatives, Fixed Income, and Equities etc).

Nuveen is seeking a Lead Market Data Services Analyst to join our Market Data Management team. The candidate will be a member of a small team of 5 responsible for managing a set of vendors that’s provides Market data and serve as the supplier relationship manager for these vendors. The candidate must be familiar with the Market Data landscape such as the various suppliers known in the industry for providing these datasets and have general understanding of accounting and financial concepts in order to provide accurate accounting of expenses. The candidate will also possess strong organizational and analytical skills; and must be able to conduct meetings and contribute to discussions. Additionally, to be successful, the right candidate must be a team player who is proactive with strong customer service orientation.
Required Skills:
2 or more years of demonstrated ability in Market Data Operations.
Experience with provisioning of Bloomberg/FactSet/Refinitiv EIKON/Rating Agencies etc.
Experience with using FITS (Optimize Spend market data inventory platform or similar (MDSL).
Finance and expense management background.
SME of suppliers across multiple asset classes and data types (Indices, Research, Analytics, Evaluated Prices, and Reference Data, Alternative Data to name a few).
Execution focused with ability to build positive relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
Results driven and comfortable working in fast paced environment.
Preferred Skills:
Advanced Excel including macros, lookups, pivot tables and other advanced skills.
Effective communication skills to Senior Management and Business Partners.
Business mindset and partner with Investment team, Operations, Technology, Compliance, and Risk Management.
MS PowerPoint skills.
Process improvement mindset.
Strong negotiations and communications skills (written and verbal).

Base Pay Range: $31.46/hr. - $52.43/hr.
Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
