Senior Insider Threat Analyst
The Insider Threat Investigations team is made up of mostly generalist security practitioners who often fit the description of “jack of all, master of none”. The team handles anything that comes their way whether that be monitoring and responding to suspicious employee activity, assisting the corporation investigation partners or even developing new detections methods to identify risky behavior.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Conduct and triage anomalous events of concern using industry data loss prevention tools to include User and Entity Behavior Analytics (UEBA) and User Activity Monitoring (UAM) capabilities.
Support the establishment and execution of the insider threat program.
Conduct user activity and network monitoring based on the results of user behavior analysis, or specific inquiries from corporate stakeholders.
Must be able to identify potential data leaks and determine if information constitutes a violation any company policies related to Personal Identifiable Information (PII) or Intellectual Property (IP).
Evaluate user activity to determine if the activity is within the user’s day to day responsibility or potentially an abuse of privilege or unauthorized.

University (Degree), Preferred
- Physical Requirements: Sedentary Work
3 or more years of experience in Information Technology or Cybersecurity
Experience working with enterprise SIEM tools
Experience with the following SIEM tools (ie. Splunk, ArcSight, LogRhythm, FireEye, CrowdStrike) or UEBA (User and Entity Behavior Analytics) tools (i.e. Exabeam, Securonix or similar product)
Mix of intelligence, threat analysis, investigative experience, and technical skills related to cyber security and insider threats
Demonstrate knowledge of tactics, techniques and procedures associated with malicious Insider threat activity, i.e., privilege abuse, compromised account, etc
Proven ability to self-direct project outcomes, with minimal supervision, to achieve program goals.
Experience with databases, SQL, and data visualization tools
Experience with Windows, MacOS, Linux, iOS
Working knowledge of reviewing Windows, MacOS, or *NIX logs
Ability to navigate and work effectively across a complex organization.
Good understanding of data privacy laws and experience interacting with Legal and Compliance professionals
Possess one or more of the following certifications: CFCE, CCE, EnCE, ACE, GCFA, CISSP, CFE or similar IT security certifications
Potential Salary: $106,500.00 USD
Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
