TIAA Sr. Lead IT Program Manager for Transformation in Iselin, New Jersey

The Transformation Lead role reports to the Head of Strategy and Transformation for CS&T (Client Services and Technology) for TIAA. This leader will be responsible for establishing and delivering on project/program objectives within scope, time, quality, and budget constraints for highly visible and complex programs. This job utilizes general knowledge of the project/business requirements to manage large projects for the organization. This job also sets goals and objectives for team members and provides coaching and feedback to help employees reach these goals. The Transformation Lead will collaborate closely with internal and external partners across the executive team and with suppliers. This person will be part of a team that drives business and customer value in a fast moving environment. The qualified candidate should be results-oriented, strategic, critical thinking, and influential, leveraging high business acumen to remove obstacles, and bring partners along.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Organizes project teams by assigning individual responsibilities, developing project schedules, and determining resource requirements necessary to ensure project is successful.

  • Estimates the costs, resources, and time required to complete each phase of a project and allocates resources and tasks to ensure these targets are met.

  • Implements an established project plan and monitors progress and performance against this plan.

  • Monitors the status of projects including cost, timing, and staffing.

  • Identifies and resolves obstacles to completing project on time and to budget.

  • Conducts project meetings and prepares regular reports to communicate the status of the project within and beyond the project team.

  • Coordinates the activities of outside contractors to ensure they are integrated into the project and that the organization receives satisfactory standards of service.

  • Manages performance of team through regular, timely feedback as well as the formal performance review process to ensure delivery of exceptional products and engagement, motivation, and development of the team.

Educational Requirements

  • University (Degree) Preferred

  • 5 Years Required; 7 Years Preferred

Required Qualifications:

5 or more years of complex program delivery experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience managing large scale complex initiatives and managing budget of over a million dollars

  • Experience working across different businesses including IT to deliver business objectives

  • Experience collaborating with key resources and stakeholders, influencing decisions and managing work to achieve strategic goals

  • Escalation management experience

  • Stakeholder management experience

  • Excellent communication, storytelling, and facilitation skills

  • Reporting, process design and root cause analysis experience

  • Exceptional problem-solving, project management, and change management skills

  • Agile experience

Base Pay Range: $118,400/yr. - $197,300/yr.

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).Â
