Developer II
The Developer II focuses on developing multiple types and categories of software including end-user applications and operating systems software, that provides a platform for running end user applications. While working independently with limited supervision, this job applies up-to-date information on the detailed technical design and development of applications using existing and emerging technology platforms.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Conducts requirements gathering and analysis to understand the domain of the software problem and/or functionality, the interfaces between hardware and software, and the overall software characteristics.
Consults with systems engineers and architects on developing IT standards for the business while facilitating the translation of client requirements into technical designs for large IT solutions.
Uses programming, scripting, and/or database languages to write the software code.
Models key business processes and critical paths while assessing the impact of technology on business processes.
Supports software testing, deployment, maintenance, and evolves activities by correcting programming errors, responding to scope changes, and coding software enhancements
Maintains records for the documentation of systems development and revisions.
Coaches and reviews the work of lower level professionals.

Required Skills:
Experience with Java Design and Coding
Experience with Spring, Spring Integration and Spring Framework (Core, JDBC, JMS, Messaging, Web, MVC)
Experience developing with service-oriented architecture and REST, JSON, XML, SOAPÂ
Experience in Software Development Life Cycle and Agile methodology
A team player with good organizational, communicational, analytical and logical skills.
Reviews technical documentation to guide system users and to assist with the ongoing operation, maintenance, and development of the system
Evaluates all system constraints, implications and consequences of various proposed system changes
Oversees changes to existing system logic difficulties and documentation as necessary
Preferred Skills:
Experience with API, microservices, Camel, Docker, AWS servicesÂ
Experience in using GIT, code quality tools, defect tracking toolsÂ
Experience with java builds automation using Ant, Maven, GradleÂ
Development experience in UI frameworks (HTML, Java Script, HTML5, JSP, Ajax)Â
Experience writing unit testsÂ
Domain knowledge of financial services & CRM Technology capabilities â Salesforce & SiebelÂ
Experience with DevOps tools: Gradle, Jenkins, SonarQube, Junit, Splunk, OpenShift Cloud PlatformÂ
Experience with JIRA, Agile Craft, or related tools
Base Pay Range: $64,500/yr. - $107,500/yr.
Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).Â
