Lead Data Analytics Manager
The Lead Data Analytics Manager leads a team that performs complex analytics and statistical modeling on large data sets that identify current market sector trends and customer patterns. This job directs the examination and identification of data patterns and trends that help answer business questions and improve decision-making. This job is responsible for overseeing the work completed by junior team members as well as encouraging and driving their professional development.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Approves mathematical, statistical, and economic techniques that determine market conditions, project consumer needs and inform business initiatives.
Analyzes and reviews trends found from modelling to inform other lines of business such as product development and marketing decisions.
Oversees data mining models, statistical reporting and data analysis methodologies to identify key customer segments and to simulate impact of potential business decisions.
Develops and presents detailed reports and conclusions for business, finance, and investment management based on data summaries.
Identifies areas of opportunity and risk through data analysis and modelling.
Sets goals and objectives for Data Analytics team members to ensure the achievement of operational results.
Supervises junior team members and ensures smooth and efficient team operations while validating reports and data integrity.
Manages, coaches, directs, assesses performance, and coordinates with direct reports to facilitate execution of the business’s stated Actuarial strategies and objectives.

Experience in data analytics including extracting, validating, and visualizing data
Experience with data preparation techniques for modeling and statistics
Experience with data visualization/BI tools such as Tableau
Experience with Alteryx, Python, SAS, SPSS, and/or R
Experience with SQL and no-SQL databases
Ability to communicate findings and deliver actionable insights to technical and business stakeholders
Ability to manage and coach data analysts
Ability to define and implement data analytics solutions to solve business problems and investigate anomalies
Ability to collaborate with technical and business teams to identify opportunities to use data in support of decision making
Ability to exercise judgment as it relates to business decisions and their effects on stakeholders
Problem solving skills
Master’s degree in business, finance, technology, applied math, or a related field
Experience with machine learning and data modeling for prediction and forecasting
Ability to learn quickly and independently
Potential Salary: $138,200.00 USD
Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
