Business Learning Solutions Specialist
The Business Learning Solutions Specialist contributes to the design, delivery and administration of business unit training programs in accordance with the organization's training and development plan. Under general supervision, this job works to meet the current and future human resource needs of the business by continuously improving current training programs and enhancing the performance of individual employees.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Helps design and develop all elements of the organization's business unit training program to foster learning and provide growth opportunities for employees within the organization.
Utilizes technical knowledge of the organization's systems, databases and technologies to administer business unit training and development programs and troubleshoots any issues that may arise throughout delivery of the programs.
Organizes and prepares training procedure manuals, guides and course materials, such as handouts and visual materials, to support training efforts.
Identifies key areas of improvement within the business unit training and development programs by analyzing course evaluations and quantitative training results.
Ensures business unit training covers internal systems and control processes, along with relevant external standards and regulations to best prepare employees within particular business units.
Trains employees on general skills and competencies to ensure team members are prepared for advanced training, learning and everyday administrative tasks.
Works with leadership and management teams to develop management skills and to help implement best leadership practices within the organization.
- University (Degree) Preferred
- 2+ Years Required; 3+ Years Preferred
- Physical Requirements: Sedentary Work
- 2 years of bank deposit operations experience
3 years of bank deposit operations experience preferred
Corporate trainer or facilitator experience
Proficient in Microsoft Powerpoint
Development experience in self-paced learning software (ex. Articulate, Captivate, Evolve or similar)
Strong written & verbal communication skills
Base Pay Range: $51,000/yr. - $85,000/yr.
Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).

TIAA has entered into a definitive agreement to sell TIAA Bank to new investors with extensive experience in financial services, as part of the company’s strategy to refocus on its core retirement business and Nuveen, the company’s asset manager. When the transaction is complete, in 2023, TIAA will retain a non-controlling stake in the bank, demonstrating the company’s confidence in the bank’s future success.
