Overview of the Role
The AVP, Global Digital Paid Media Manager acts as the front line of the Nuveen’s digital advertising platform by implementing and managing programmatic media campaigns that serve to promote Nuveen’s brand, products and services. Working closely with the Brand and Client Marketing teams, this role is responsible for finding and negotiating deals with media companies, buying impactful ad-space and ensuring the campaign presents an effective message to the target audience for the Global side of the business. This role will also be a key player on the in-house Nuveen Paid Media team, helping contribute to the strategy, development, implementation and optimization of digital, direct and programmatic campaigns across multiple platforms.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Act as Nuveen’s paid media team’s primary point of contact for the International team, responsible for delivering the paid media strategy across all digital, direct and programmatic media partnerships.
Develop and execute media plans across multiple digital and programmatic media channels including but not limited to Social, Search, Display, Video, Audio, CTV/OTT, Digital Out of Home (DOOH) in addition to direct buys, linear/broadcast TV, radio, ABM and other paid media channels.
Conduct day-to-day hands-on execution, bid management and optimization of paid media campaigns and ad buys within Nuveen’s DSP environment.
Negotiates ad placements on behalf of Nuveen, keeping the campaign within budget and aligned to the organization’s marketing and business goals.
Drive audience strategies leveraging 1st party, 2nd party, and 3rd party data and evaluate and recommend potential 3rd party partners including data, view ability, ad fraud, brand safety, and cross-device solutions
Collaborate and build strong relationships to establish clear lines of communication with internal and external partners needed for campaign execution with direct line of communication to senior team members.
Partner with Data and Analytics team to build and maintain campaign performance dashboards using a combination of tools including in-platform, Data Studio, Google Analytics, or similar analytics tools.
Share and communicate media plans, performance reports, and insights to senior leadership, business partners, and other stakeholders.
Partner with internal & external Ad Operations team to generate, deploy and manage media tags using Campaign Manager & Google Tag Manager
Monitor and identify competitive and audience trends in digital media channels and influence strategies and tactics to drive business goals.
Technical Skills & Qualifications Required
Degree educated
Recognized qualification in Marketing
Certifications in Google DV 360, Google Ads Search, and Trade Desk
Experience in executing and measuring paid media campaigns directly
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products
Preferred Skills
Established relationships and experience of negotiating with financial services media for paid media opportunities across institutional and wealth management channels
Cross-border and multi-lingual experience/skills
Experience working across the financial services industry
8 – 10 years of experience in digital paid media advertising with 6+ years of experience with programmatic media buying & 3+ years in paid social media management
Experienced with planning and buying CTV/OTT advertising
Extensive hands-on (in platform) experience managing campaigns with Google Campaign Manager, DV360, The Trade Desk and experience with other DSP’s like Xandr

Proven ability to implement paid media strategies beyond just impressions and clicks
Work Experience
- 5-9 years of experience in digital paid media advertising with 3+ years of experience with programmatic media buying & 3+ years in paid social media management
