Key Responsibilities and Duties
Support property and asset management operations among all sectors within Nuveen Real Estate Americas
Oversee external third party property management firms including establishing and managing adherence to Nuveen processes
Collaborate cross functionally with Asset Management, Accounting, Legal and various shared service groups within Nuveen
Perform operational reviews on selected properties on a regular basis
Assist in managing the process related to budgeting and forecasting
Define, implement and revise property operational procedures and policies
Assistance with reviewing requirements related to internal and external regulatory reviews

Overview of the role
The Portfolio Management Oversight Officer will be involved in the Portfolio Management activities for Nuveen Alternatives Europe S.Ã r.l. (hereafter the âAIFMâ) in Luxembourg and will support and assist the Portfolio Management Conducting Officer (PMCO) in monitoring the investment process, together with the related execution of investment strategies across the Nuveen International platform.
The Portfolio Management Oversight Officer in conjunction with the PMCO will provide oversight across the investment business, providing clear and comprehensive analysis and reporting to the AIFM Board and associated oversight bodies.
Â Key responsibilities will include:
Perform and document the periodic due diligence assessment on the Portfolio Managers, including the review of policies, procedures, processes and systems;
Support in the design, implementation and maintenance of NAE Portfolio Management oversight framework for existing and new asset classes;
Support in the production of the monthly and or quarterly Portfolio Management reports to NAE Board, Executive Committee and fund Boards;
Review, update and maintain NAE Portfolio Management policies and procedures;
Maintain relationships and organise regular meetings with the investment teams and Portfolio Managers at group level and at third party level as relevant;
Gather and analyse supporting documentation submitted to the relevant Investment committees;
Collect, centralise and analyse the indicators and reports received from the different investment teams;
Monitor whether funds are operating within the terms and conditions of their investment mandates, legal and regulatory requirements;
Support in the handling of requests from service providers and internal/external auditors.
Technical Skills & Qualifications Required
Ideally post graduate degree in Finance, Economics or similar fields from university or business school;
5+ yearsâ experience in financial services of which majority spent in an investment related function;
Be aware of and have a good understanding of the investment strategies and alternative asset classes;
Knowledge of AIFMD and investment funds regulations;
Experience with alternative investment strategies such as real estate, private equity, private credit or Â infrastructure;
Strong relationship building attributes based around mutual respect and the strength of character to be able to present portfolio management issues assertively but constructively;
Strong team player with good communication skills;
Proven ability to work in autonomy and take initiatives;
Analytical approach and well organized;
Fluent in English; any other languages would be considered an asset;
