Risk Data Analytics - Senior Developer

Risk and Financial domain [RDAI] developer with experience in Design assignment with Web Services, Knowledge of Java, React and other libraries or frameworks, Develop and maintain code base in Git Lab. Develop/Design/debug system architecture and ETL interfaces for different data providers and integrate data into data warehouse. Design and develop functional business enhancements in the database/Python.

Job Description

This position requires the candidate to work with Risk Data Analytics and Infrastructureteam to build and enhance risk analytics systems, processes, reports to support the Enterprise Risk team at TIAA. The ideal candidate must have strong experience developing applications and performing data analysis using Python.

Required Skills

• Bachelors in information technology or related fields

• 5+ Experience in building application using Python.

• Experience developing application using Python Django web framework is a must.

• Prior experience and domain knowledge in Asset Management / Financial Risk Management Technology: Deep understanding of financial products data (Equities, Fixed Income)

• Experience with RDBMS (Oracle, MS SQL, MySQL)

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in building various feeds to risk engines (MSCI Risk Manager, FactSet) using batch or service API.

• Experience with containerization (e.g., Docker) and CI/CD

• Experience with reporting or data visualization tools (Tableau or Power BI)

• Prior experience in / knowledge of alternative asset classes such Commercial Real Estate, Private Equity, Energy, Infrastructure, Timber, Agriculture, etc.
