TIAA Brand Management Sr. Associate in NEW YORK CITY, New York

This role is on the Brand Management Team, which sits within TIAA Enterprise Brand and Advertising and reports to the Senior Director of Brand Management. The Brand Management Team is responsible for ensuring a consistent brand look, feel, voice, and tone across all communication and distribution channels. The broad scope of communication and distribution channels includes digital, print, social media, video, advertising, and live events, reaching participants, plan sponsors, asset managers, prospects and employees. The Brand Management Team accomplishes this in part by establishing and communicating brand standards, training, managing brand assets, conducting brand reviews and overseeing trademark and brand protection.
We are seeking a Senior Associate to be a passionate advocate for the TIAA brand; responsible for helping drive brand consistency across all channels as well as helping to build a brand culture within the organization. This person will partner with key stakeholders in marketing, communications, UX and our business partners across organization to ensure brand consistency and to help meet evolving business and marketing brand needs.
This person’s will become an expert in the brand and conduct brand reviews to ensure adherence to our brand and will identify and escalate brand issues to senior members of Brand Management Team. They will work closely with key internal stakeholders as well as external agencies to help create consistency across customer, product and media channels.
This person will also help maintainthe brand intranet site and drive engagement with the brand through the site and other communication channels. Responsibilities include updating and maintaining brand assets, such as photo, illustration and icon libraries, monitoring web activity as part of governance process and working with external vendors and internal partners to manage trademark and domain protection.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Work closely with Marketing Operationsincluding producers, creative designers, and writers, as well as theCommunications team, UX, product managers, agency partners and other keystakeholders to translate our brand voice, tone, look and feel intoeffective online and offline communications
Conduct timely reviews of new marketing andcommunication pieces for brand alignment (print, digital, video, social)
Help maintain internal facing employee website to driveengagement with the brand
Monitor web activities as part of protection/governanceprogram and support brand infringement process with external vendors andinternal partners
Manage Brand inbox and liaison with otherareas of the company to address brand content questions
3-5 years’ experience in brand marketing
Design, content development, and editorialskillset and experience
Digital brand experience (video, digital,social, native content)
Fluency in all types of print anddigital media, including social, video and native content
Understanding of Web design anddevelopment
Agency and/or In-house/corporate Marketing/CreativeServices; content creation; editorial; digital; financial services brandexecution/management
Background in marketing and/or communications
UX design experience
Strong writing/editing skills
Strong ability to influence
