The Analyst position will report to the Chief of Staff (CoS) to the Chief Executive Officer of Nuveen. The Analyst will support the CoS in coordinating the execution of Nuveen’s strategy and supporting day-to-day CEO activities. The ideal candidate must be comfortable in a high performance, fast paced, high-pressure, matrixed environment. Strong analytical skills and the ability to support the formulation, development and execution of strategic initiatives will be critical to success. Excellent interpersonal skills and heavy collaboration experience. Past experience in management/strategy consulting a plus.


  • Support the CoS in the coordination and execution of Nuveen’s strategic initiatives and day-to-day CEO activities/deliverables, special projects

  • Support the preparation of executive-level presentations and talking points on behalf of the Nuveen CEO and senior leadership team, for internal and external needs

  • Support the development of presentations and memos for Board meetings that provide a holistic and comprehensive discussion on key business topics (e.g., financials, performance, strategy, risks, etc.)

  • Partner with finance team on preparing quarterly operating plan review deliverables, including key topics for senior management, as well as an analysis of key earnings drivers

  • Partner with communications team to develop key internal (e.g., announcements, Town Halls, etc.) and external (e.g., speaking engagements) communications


Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Minimum 2 years of experience inbusiness analysis, business management or finance related role


  • Highly organized to managemultiple and disparate requests/deadlines while understanding importanceto prioritize accordingly

  • Excellent analytical skills, both quantitative and qualitative, attention to detail

  • Highly adept at Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel

  • Strong communication skills and an ability to articulate complex business issues to executive management

  • Uncompromising integrity and ability to maintain strict confidentiality

  • Capable of providing informationand streamlining processes to ensure a productive use of time

  • Demonstrated ability to: Deliverresults in a fast-paced environment; Solve problems and thinkstrategically; Be proactive; anticipating needs and staying out ahead ofthem; Collaborate, plan and organize with and through people to gatherinformation from across the organization

  • Ability to formulate clear and conciseexecutive “messages” to internal and external audiences from complextopics
