Nuveen Investments AVP, Business Management - Nuveen Chief Administrative Office in New York, New York

The Business Management role is responsible for providing strategic support for the Nuveen enterprise with a focus on strategic planning, governance and activities supporting the Nuveen leadership team and CEO. While focusing on high level projects, this job executes strategic business management consulting to leaders by analyzing metrics and presentations to support business strategies and strategic planning, driving business management policies and routines, and being the central point of contact for leaders in the execution of business management, strategic planning and governance. This includes the development, management and execution of Nuveen’s strategic initiatives portfolio, communicating Nuveen’s strategy to broad group of stakeholders and executing business management activities such as recurring business reviews, space planning, ad hoc projects, etc. The role would report to the VP, Business Management of the Nuveen Chief Administrative Office (CAO).

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Work closely with leaders across functions – such as Sales, Marketing, Technology, HR, and Finance – to define and execute strategic initiatives.

• Turn ideas into business cases and help leaders prioritize.

• Coordinate and support the strategic planning process.

• Communicate business strategy for the Board and broadly for Nuveen associates.

• Support the Chief Administrative Officer and VP, Business Management to manage day-to-day operations of high- priority programs, from defining goals and timelines to solving roadblocks.

• Support space planning activities and location strategy.

• Develop insights into markets, business trends, and operations and apply knowledge to initiatives across Nuveen to inform key decisions.

• Support and lead process improvement activities across the enterprise (e.g., learning and development, internal communications, etc).

Base Pay Range: $100,900/yr. - $168,100/yr.

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).Â
