Nuveen Investments Coder/Quantitative Developer in New York, New York

This job supports continuous improvement efforts and the creation of technology-based tools and metrics to minimize risks and associated challenges.

Reports to the Sr. Coder/Sr. Quantitative Developer

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Maintain testing system.

  • Assist in generating commodity forecast models as needed.

  • Develop and administer monthly reports for the company and client reporting

  • Assist with the development of technology-based tools and matrices to create effective and efficient reporting with the goal to minimizing risk exposure.

  • Support all equities in volatility businesses including structured products, cash flow, and convertible bonds, desks with modeling, pricing and hedging.

  • Support the infrastructure for the Performance Analytics Reporting

  • Provide data and analysis for compliance filings.

Educational Requirements

  • University (Degree) Preferred

  • 2+ Years Required; 3+ Years Preferred

Required Skills:

  • 2+ years of experience coding with Python, .Net and SQL

  • Experience working on multiple projects simultaneously

  • Experience working within the financial services industry

Preferred Skills:

  • Previously experience working within the capital markets industry.

  • Provided day to day support on finical service applications.

  • Experience working with Bloomberg and other finical service tools.

  • Experience working in fast paced environments

  • A willingness to learn new software to help design and support code for projects with moving targets.


Potential Salary: $126,360.00 USD

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
