TIAA Director, Wealth Management Strategy in New York, New York

Teachers Insurance and Annuity Association of America seeks a Director, Wealth Management Strategy at our office in New York, NY to plan, direct, and coordinate the general operations of our Wealth Management Strategy team. Own day-to-day management of overall operations and projects and deliveries. Partner with senior leadership to serve as a trusted advisor to solve critical operational and strategic model issues. Scope problems, identify major operational issues and actionable opportunities, design solutions, and quantify potential bottom-line financial impact. Work with team to develop work plan to test and evaluate operational strategies and insights which could span strategy, process or organizational change. Provide advanced expertise to engagement teams in leading the identification, understanding and framing of complex business problems and needs. Review synthesized findings and recommendations and oversee creation of senior management documents to present recommendations (inclusive of presentations for Executive Committee and Board Members). Advise and influence senior leaders on key general and operational decisions and major change initiatives. Develop trust-based relationships with key client stakeholders and ensure client is satisfied throughout engagement. Lead interview campaigns, working sessions, and senior client presentations. Maintain composure and presence in difficult client meetings. Lead client projects, including managing multiple junior employees across several work streams. Collaborate with the team to develop hypotheses, conduct analysis, and develop roadmap for solutions. Manage performance of junior team through regular, timely feedback as well as the formal performance review process to ensure delivery of exceptional products and engagement, motivation, and development of team. Up to 10% domestic travel required. Telecommuting permitted up to 2 days per week.

Minimum Requirements: Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field of study and 5 years of experience in job offered or related occupation. Alternatively, the company will accept a Bachelor's degree in an acceptable field and 7 years of acceptable experience.

Salary range: The offered salary for this specific position is $240,000 per year. Please note that the base pay range shown below is a general salary range for similar occupations within the company, and does not apply to this specific position.

Base Pay Range: $213,900/yr. - $278,900/yr.

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
